On-line Course: Curriculum
(Included with the On-Board Package AND Plus)
Providing ALL of your board members to personal access to the training portal to learn when and where it is most convenient for them. This ensures new Board members are able to access the training and framework that your Board works from no matter when they join the Board. Each module includes multiple bite sized video trainings (10 minutes) and a workbook and the portal will always remember where they left off.
Module One Covers:
What is philanthropy? Who donates anyway? What does your mindset have to do with fundraising? Do you know your organizations mission? What makes you care about this mission? Building your Cocktail Conversation skills.
Module Two Covers:
The HOW of revenue generation. An overview of the many ways nonprofits generate revenue for their mission. One to Many strategies, One to One strategies, Earned Revenue.
Module Three Covers:
The donor journey. Understanding the donor's journey helps us understand how to build robust and successful fundraising strategies. Donor pyramids, the donor engagement path, the importance of stewardship and first-time gift experiences to your organization's long-term success.
Module Four Covers:
An introduction to Fundraising Planning will help you understand your role as a Board and how you can support your Executive Director if you have one. Take a look at budgeting, evaluate your strategies and programming, understand your organization's fundraising plan and the role you can play. Take action and get an early win.
MEET YOUR COACH Cathrine Yuill
With over 20 years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising experience under my belt, I am excited to share that depth of knowledge and understanding with small nonprofits who are ready to step up their fundraising game and develop mature and sustainable fundraising programs. My experience includes recently completing a $15 million dollar capital campaign, personally raising $2 to $6 million per year, and leading a team responsible for raising $8 to $10 million per year. I spent 10 years in the trenches as an Executive Director for small nonprofits through their growth and development where operational budgets and staff tripled, all with the result of delivering more impact on the vision and for the people we served.
I'm excited to help other nonprofits grow their impact through strategic and inspired fundraising.
My philosophy and approach us rooted in the joy of fundraising. If you fear fundraising or worry that your potential donors are dreading your call let me shift your mindset by getting at the root of your fears and the true meaning of philanthropy and generosity. It is an honourable and joyful activity we seek to undertake.
While I act as a solo business owner, I take great pride in tapping into a tremendous network of colleagues who are experts in a wide variety of fundraising specialties. My colleagues regularly partner with me on an ad-hoc basis to ensure I can provide the support you need to achieve your goals.
